They are made by wellness tech company Therabody and called the CryoTherm Palm, retailing at £349, though they are not available on the UK market yet.
Research has shown that cooling the palms can substantially lower core body temperature which can be pivotal for in-game recovery, leading to enhanced performance.
The use of the breezy equipment has become a rising trend in professional sport – with Manchester United among those to have employed them.
England plan to use them in training sessions and during planned water breaks at the World Cup, which is set to be one of the hottest on record.

The predicted temperature in Dallas, Texas on June 17, when England play their opening group game there against Croatia, is 33 degrees.
